🚀 GREAT ACHIEVEMENT: Our New Erasmus+ Project Has Been Awarded Grant!
The From Xanthi to Europe team is proud to announce that a brand new and dynamic project has been approved for grant funding to secure the digital future of youth!
Founded in July 2022 by Chousein Karachous, an initiative of visionary university students studying in Greece and abroad, our association addresses one of the biggest shortcomings of young people across Europe: Digital Security.
Why This Project?
The rapid integration of digital technologies into our lives has placed Generation Z at the center of the digital world. However, research shows that young people are quite vulnerable to digital threats. According to current data from the European Commission, 70% of young people in Europe lack knowledge about digital security; they face serious threats such as identity theft, cyberbullying, and an uncontrolled digital footprint. Reports from the Greek Data Protection Authority also reveal that 45% of young people in our country cannot manage their personal data securely.
This is exactly where From Xanthi to Europe comes in with our youth work perspective!
Our Project’s Main Objectives:
Raising Awareness: Encouraging young people to develop more conscious behaviors against online threats.
Empowering Generation Z: Providing skills in creating secure passwords, social media security settings, and resilience against cyberbullying.
Digital Footprint Management: Offering practical training on protecting personal data and responsibly managing digital identities.
What’s Next?
Our project has not yet entered the implementation phase, and the preparation processes are continuing with great excitement. Participation requirements, partner countries, and the implementation schedule will be announced very soon on our website and social media accounts.
